Today
people freaked out.
Many thought the world
was ending.
So what if it did?
Do you know where you'd be?
Today's Jesus Calling exerpt is from
Romans 8:31 - "What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

Micah 7:7 - "But as for me, I watch in hope for the LORD, I wait for God my Savior; my God will hear me."
"I, the Creator of the universe, am with you and for you. What more could you need? When you feel some lack, it is because you are not connecting with Me at a deep level. I offer abundant Life; your part is to trust Me, refusing to worry about anything.
It is not so much adverse events that make you anxious as it is your thoughts about those events. Your mind engages in efforts to take control of a situation, to bring about the result you desire. Your thoughts close in on the problem like ravenous wolves. Determined to make things go your way, you forget and I am in charge of your life. The only remedy is to switch your focus from the problem to My Presence. Stop all your striving, and watch to see what I will do. I am the Lord!"
So really,
i'm convinced the reason
some of us are scared
is due to our uncertainty
of where we'd be right now
had the world ended today.
This adverse event made us anxious.
We tried to control it.
We tried to put it in a box
and foresee how it would unfold.
We forgot that God is in charge.
But He says "I am Lord!"
So, really, let's put our
worry worms back in our pockets,
and just rejoice in the fact
that we have a heavenly father
that desires so much to have a relationship with us
that He'd sacrifice His own son
just to have that opportunity.
And when the time is RIGHT.
And completely UNKNOWN to man,
He will come back.
Today excited me.
For the simple fact that
I might actually go home.
But for now,
I will wait.
For I am not alone.
And never will be.
