just two young kids
trying to make it by.
with the biggest smiles on our faces
the world has ever seen.
high school sweethearts.
the definition of love
fresh on our 17 year old breaths.
what we did together
was more than anything i'd done alone.
traveling thousands of miles
learning life's ropes one day at a time.
four years later.
feeling like we've grown up so fast.
life has past us by.
and we've gotten used to the 800 miles apart.
having a history like the one we have.
gives me such peace.
being young and stupid before.
i regret nothing.
and smile at the strength i have
to pick up my suitcase.
and keep traveling this road.
knowing i've got a friend somewhere
out there.
