the relationships you thought were the best
seem to dwindle.

and life gets in the way of
the friends you never dreamed of losing.

life's rough.
especially when you're not in control
of the friends you keep and the friends you lose.

oh high school...
why were you so good at keeping
people together.

it's like we were in our own little world.
that everything was just going to be that way
for the rest of our lives.

we thought the people that walked the halls with us
during those 4 years
would be the people that would walk with us
for the rest of our lives.

do your best to hold onto the friends you have now
but let them go when it's time for them to move on...
